Second visit to former Caspian tern colony sites in the San Francisco Bay area to determine nesting status; more than 196 adults and 52 chicks counted on the Brooks Island Caspian tern colony, the smallest colony size observed for this colony since monitoring began in 2003; 20 adults and 4 chicks counted at Agua Vista Caspian tern colony; terns were not nesting on former colony sites at Stevens Creek (B2) and Eden Landing (E10)

First visit to former Caspian tern colony sites in the San Francisco Bay area to determine nesting status; more than 295 Caspian terns and 197 attended nests counted on the Brooks Island Caspian tern colony, the smallest colony size observed for this colony since monitoring began in 2003; terns were not nesting at the former colony sites at Stevens Creek (B2) and Eden Landing (E10)
